New tricks...
The babies are almost 16 months old now – 8 more days! I wanted to quickly post some things I’ve witnessed most recently: Ava has become much more vocal lately again. I really think she is going to be the first one to start talking. The other day I asked her, “Ava, what does a dog say?” Then I said ruff (in a deep voice). And she said “ruff” in a deep voice. Then I said it again, but in a higher voice, and she repeated in a high voice too. It was so cute! But she will only do it if she is in a ‘talkative’ mood. Ava has also been growling lately too. She does it as a funny way to get attention. And let me tell you, it works, we think it’s a hoot! It’s amazing how she can already put distinction in her different voices (low to high). If you start clicking your lips together to make a ‘pop’ sound the boys will repeat. It’s so adorable. At feeding time the boys have also been sticking out their tongues to “taste” the food before they’ll let you shove it in their mouth. These kids are so smart! They know we sometimes trick them to get them to eat meat (they’re not really big on meat just yet). All three of the babies: If you “click your tongue” or stick it out and wiggle it, they’ll all repeat. They love seeing their reflection in the oven. All 3 can walk and RUN! They love watching what’s going on outside – especially if the neighborhood kids are out playing or riding their bikes, etc. All 3 will give high fives. All 3 will give you an ‘open-mouth’ kiss.
