Baby Einstein
Who is happier to watch Baby Einstein, the babies or daddy???
Brian got the babies a Baby Einstein video and they LOVE IT! It’s strange to think they connect with the video at just 7 months old (4 months adjusted). But the baby books all say they are developing at a very fast pace and probably understand more than we give them credit for. They don’t necessarily understand what we’re saying but they understand the tone of our voice. They also know their names now. If you call them by their name they will turn towards you. It’s so amazing to see.
Sleeping thru the night
Little Miss Ava (our former difficult one - yes I know, hard to believe, right?) has been sleeping through the night for the past couple months now. Skyler and Connor have recently been trying it out within the past couple of weeks. It's amazing for mom and dad to get those 5 and 6 hour stretches!
(Ava still sleeps somewhat sitting up in her carseat because of her reflux)
Fruits and Veggies
The babies seem to like the fruits the best...although it was funny to see Ava taste peaches for the first time...She'd squint and pucker...too cute...Skyler likes the veggies while Ava and Connor really don't seem to like them.
Holding the bottle
Sometimes the babies will try and hold their own bottles...Although they usually need help...Skyler is showing dad he can do it.
Naked Buns
The babies had an intestional virus a few weeks ago which caused them lots of vomitting and diarreha. Skyler started to develop a little bit of diaper rash...so we spread out a towel and let him air out for a while...he loved it!
Video Clips
Below are some video clips of Skyler and Ava. The first clip shows Skyler trying to do "raspberries". I was so happy to hear they had a name for this - sticking out your tongue and blowing bubbles/spitting. The second clip shows Ava laughing. And the third clip shows Ava getting "airborne" in her Jumperoo!
The Christmas Bear
I don't know what it is, but all three of the babies LOVE this bear they got for Christmas.
Sucking the thumb
The babies are all really into putting anything and everything into their mouths. Connor (pictured here) is really good about putting his thumb in his mouth to chew on. Skyler and Ava don't have quite the same smooth technique.
More than just me???
The babies are just coming to understand that there is more than just them. It's fun to see them watch and study their siblings. When one is crying the others will sit there and look at them in amazement ~ like did you make that noise?
