Thirty little fingers and toes: February 2007

33 weeks old (22 weeks adjusted)

The babies are now 33 weeks (8 months), but only 22 weeks adjusted (5 ½ months). They are very active now. Both the boys can roll from their tummies to their backs. But just within the last week Skyler has started rolling from his back to his tummy! Go Skyler!!! Ava will roll from side to side if she sees something she wants, otherwise, she prefers not to do much work. She will roll from her tummy to her back if she looses her balance, haha! We’ve also started adding fruits and veggies (along with the rice cereal) to their diets (once a day). They’re really taking a liking to the sweet things – pears, apple sauce, and sweet potatoes. They’re not big fans of the green beans or squash. As you can see from the earlier posts they make quite the mess! Everyone is smiling, laughing and cooing quite a bit. They look for those familiar faces in the room (mom, dad, grandma, etc.). When they see a stranger they’re a bit guarded and even sometimes cry. They are happy playing alone as long as you are in their line of sight (so you still can’t get much done, haha!) Ava does well balancing sitting up if we put her in the boppy pillow. They boys really aren’t that balanced yet. Ava does well standing up on her own (if you hold her up) but the boys really don’t like to stand much – they prefer bouncing like mad men in their jumperoo. The babies seem to recognize their names and will turn and look at you if you call to them. Our last doctor apt Skyler weighed 17 pounds, Connor was 16.15 pounds and Ava was 15.15 pounds. All are growing exceptionally well!!!

Misc. Pictures

The babies love watching their jungle crib attachments - they make noise and the monkeys move back and forth. One morning I heard the boys stirring around in their cribs (from our bedroom). But they weren't crying so I let them be and just listened to them. All of the sudden the music started playing. Connor had pressed the button and turned his on! The pictures further below are of Uncle Adam and Great Uncle Jerry and Great Aunt Ruth!

Connor and Mommys day out

Mommy and Connor took a trip to Waterloo this past Saturday to visit Aunt Dee and Cousins Steven and Kristina. Mommy got Conor all dressed up in "big-boy" clothes and even put his first pair of shoes on him...

Fun with food

It's fun feeding the babies fruits and veggies but oh mi, it's MESSY! Usually the boys will sneak a hand in the mouth. Then proceed to rub it all over their face and through their hair. Basically, they get a bath everyday after lunch. It's going to be a nightmare when we start feeding them solids more than once a day!
