15 month Doctor's Appointment

Well, we all lived through our 15 month doctor’s appointment. For now anyways, we have to go back in 2 weeks to get more shots though. Connor caught a terrible respiratory virus that landed him in the hospital for a few days. And somewhere along the way Skyler developed it too – but we were able to treat him at home, thank heavens! So, since the boys were on steroids, they couldn’t get their 15 month shots and we have to go back in a few weeks. Bummer! So little Miss Ava had to endure all of the pain by herself. Poor little thing. I feel so bad when they get those shots. You know that old saying your parents used to say before they spanked you…”This is going to hurt me a lot more than it’s going to hurt you…” Well, in this case it applies…

Dr. Nau was very excited with the progress of the babies and their level of development. He feels they are exactly where they should be. They only speak a few words, like Mom or Mama or Dadda but they seem to understand so much more, like, ready to eat, bathtime, go bye-bye, outside, no (although sometimes they don’t obey!), night-night, how certain toys work, etc. He said their vocabulary will explode at 18-24 months. When that happens we’ll never have another quiet moment in the house!

Skyler is our heavy-weight at 22 lbs 9 oz, then Ava at 22 lbs 7 oz and our little Mama’s boy Connor at 21 lbs 15 oz.
