10 Months Old Already!!!

Where does the time go, my babies are almost a year old!!! Skyler and Connor continue rolling, rolling, rolling…And they are so fast at it too. You look away for a second and they’re already on the other side of the living room! Thank goodness daddy got up the gate for the stairs! Just this past week Ava has started rolling from back to tummy now too! She will only do it occasionally and when she does she rolls about 3 times then that’s it. I switched out some of the old toys with new ones, and my goodness, they know when they have something new ~ and everyone wants that something new too! Fighting over the toys already at this early age. I put this green worm on wheels that lights and makes noise in front of Skyler (just out of his reach) and he really started trying to crawl to get it. It was so cute! He was kicking his legs and doing the army crawl with his arms. Any day now. Any day. Skyler is also our most active and adventurous one ~ we’ve now seen blood! His little temper came out (he and Connor have tempers) and he scratched himself on his face (by his right eye). Drew blood and make an ugly scab. He also managed to get a huge bruise in the center of his forehead and just recently grandma found a bump on his head! Poor little guy. Although it doesn’t seem to phase him, so that’s good. Our last doctor appointment was about 3 weeks ago and the babies weighed: Skyler 18 ½ lbs, Connor and Ava tied at 18 lbs. Whew, you babies are heavy! The doctor also told us to start putting food on their trays so they can pick up and feed themselves. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t think they’d be able to do it. But man was I wrong! They love feeding themselves! Graham crackers, cookies, cherios, cheese, etc. But if I thought they were messy before, oh my gosh, it’s gotten even worse. Not only is it all over them now, but it’s all over my floor too! I have to sweep every time they’re done eating – why did we get rid of the dogs?!?! The sleeping through the night kind of went out the window for a few weeks. Yep, we have teeth now!!! Baby orijel and Tylenol were our close friends! Another deadly weapon (for anyone in close contact with them)! Skyler and Connor both have 4 teeth – 2 on top and 2 on bottom (front) and little Miss Ava has 2 – bottom center. Sorry for such a long post, but lots has been happening with us – and – of course I haven’t posted in such a long time. Sorry! I hope to get some more pictures on this week!
