Another Cute Moment...

The other night I was picking out the kid’s pjs and I told Ava she got to wear her “monkey pjs” tonite. She looked at me and said, “NO PRINCESS!!!” I was like, no, monkey. “No Mommy, Princess”. So, needless to say, little princess is now picking out her clothes. Great!

Trick or Treating

You're probably wondering why under the Oct. 31 post I talk about Burger King...well, we did Burger King a few days before that....We actually went trick-or-treating on Halloween.....they were going to be little stinkers (skunks) but the costumes arrived and they were too small....so I ordered the next size and they were way too big....so, I searched their closets and came up with Firefighters for the boys and Bedtime Care Bear for Ava. They were so cute!!! I will post pictures when I find the download cord to the camera.

Dancing

I witnessed the cutest little thing last night. All three kids were sitting down watching Noggin when a musical commercial came on. Skyler jumped up and pulled Ava up and they started dancing together (holding hands). Then they’d trip over the toys and fall into each other. Then they’d get up again and do it all over. Ava became tired of dancing so Skyler and Connor started dancing, but when they fell over they decided they liked to wrestle with each other more.

Burger King Playland

Last night we had so much fun. We ate supper at Burger King then let the kids play in the playland. They were just big enough to get up the huge steps. It was like a cage and they’d get to one level and have to climb up another set to another level and so on. They were trying to pull their legs and body up. It was so cute. Determined little rascals. Then they’d slide down the enclosed slide. Skyler wouldn’t do the slide, I think he is afraid of the dark.

Carving Pumpkins

This is the first year the kids got to help carve the pumpkins (thanks for the pumpkins Katie!!!)....As you can see they tried to scoop out the seeds but didn't really like the feeling and being messy. Good kids!

Playtime Poppy

Grandma Judy and I dared to take the kids to their first Playtime Poppy. DISASTER! We got there too early so we had to entertain them. They wouldn't sit still. Running in the aisles. Eating treats and getting them all over. I thought they'd do so well since they did good at the Disney on Ice. But, I am thinking they need more of a musical setting. Something to keep them entertained. Oh well, the next one is in 3 months. So we'll see how that one goes.

New hats

One of our helpers, Laura, brough these two hats for us. They fit Ava really good. And she looks so cute in them. I want one that fits me!!!!!!

9-1-1 call

We had quite a scare last night. Connor couldn’t catch his breath and his lips and face turned purple! It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed. They (Connor and Skyler) were playing with the train set and Connor tried to take away a train from Skyler. I told them they had to SHARE. Well, that didn’t sit well with Connor and he dropped his head into his lap and I thought he was going to cry….When I didn’t hear anything for 5 seconds I picked him up and noticed he was trying to cry but couldn’t get the air. His mouth was all purple and his I freaked out. Thank goodness my mom and John were there, I yelled for mom to call 9-1-1. I believe he was unconscious for about 30 seconds total and I wasn’t sure if he went into a seizure during that time or not. He was shaking but totally stiff. The medics from the ambulance checked him out but we decided to just monitor him ourselves and not take the trip to the ER. He did okay the rest of the night and he is doing well today. What a scare!

Easel

The kids love their easel. On the one side you use chalk, the other side is magnetic. Skyler put the alphabet on the magnetic side then seperated them by color. Way to go buddy!!!

Breast Cancer Walk - 2008

This past Sunday was the Breast Cancer Walk which we participated in. My team, "Save the Hooters" had 55 registered! Thank you all!!! They had over 10,000 registered total. Yikes!

Homecoming Parade

Last week was homecoming in our town, sooooo, we took the babies to the parade. They got a TON of candy, which they're really too young to have so daddy and I will polish that off. But anyways, once they figured it out they wanted to eat it all. When we put them back in their car seats after the parade and took away their candy they threw the biggest fits and bawled all the way home. Oh mi! We took them inside and after dinner Brian brought in the containers with about 3 pieces of candy in each of them. They seemed happy about that. Wonder how much longer we'll be able to fool them though.

More child labor

This is how we clean the floors. (Just kidding!)

Our last camp of the year

A couple weeks ago we took the camper out for the last time of the season. Our good friends Matt, Carrie and their kids Maverik and Masey were camping at the same place too! It was so fun to spend some time together! Mavrick even shared his electric jeep with the kids. The only problem, they weren't getting they had to hold their foot down on the pedel. Maybe next year they will be ready for one of their own. Grandma, Grandpa!!! haha! Oh, and by then perhaps Mavrick and Ava will be dating?

Disney on Ice!!!

Brian and I thought it was time to take the babies to a show. So we went and saw Disney on Ice last weekend. All the Disney characters were there including the Incredibles!! It was so cute to see their little faces..Priceless! Aunt Dee and Cousins Steven and Kristina were with us too. Daddy decided to buy some cotton candy which the kids LOVED! Little did we know before buying it - it would cost $10!!! Well, it came with the Incredibles son Dash - his mask, which we all tried on....haha!
